How to Apply for eAWB with GoFreight?
What is eAWB?
eAWB (Electronic Air Waybill) is the digital version of the traditional Air Waybill (AWB) used in the air cargo industry. It is a legal, paperless document that replaces the physical airwaybill.

GoFreight provides add-on eAWB submission services to our customers in collaboration with CHAMP Cargosystems , one of the world's largest eAWB providers, specializing in electronic services for the air cargo industry.
Application Information
Pricing:
The cost for eAWB submissions is based on transactions, with a fixed annual fee. To receive a quotation, please provide your average monthly Airway bill (AWB) submission volume by contacting support@gofreight.com.
For more precise information, please include the following details in your request:
- MAWB Volume
- HAWB Volume
- Top Airlines by Frequency
- Any previous eAWB submissions
Application Process:
The application process for eAWB services typically takes 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the approval timeline from our vendor and participating airlines for eAWB Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) submissions. Please note that a valid IATA number (International Air Transport Association Number) is required to apply for this service.
If you accept the quote from the GoFreight customer success team, we will send you an addendum for your signature. After signing, please return the document and prepare the completed applications to support@gofreight.com.
Required Documents:
- eAWB Registration: Overall airline registration must be completed first (this typically takes 2-3 weeks after submission).
(i) Register as an IATA cargo agent via IATA’s website
(ii) Sign the IATA agreement: ( You can skip this if you already have an IATA No.)

eAWB Airline Registration Request Form: Please fill out the attached eAWB Airline Registration form.
*Note: In Question 3 of the registration form, specify all the airlines you would like to apply eAWB to.

A valid IATA number is required to apply for the eAWB service. If you have multiple IATA numbers for different branches, please list all IATA numbers on page 2 of the registration form along with your company information.
- Power of Attorney (POA): Fill out the Power of Attorney form granting permission to arrange eAWB on your behalf. Please date it as of today, adding your company title and E-Signature.
- Compatibility Airlines List: This document is for your reference regarding compatible airlines provided by our vendor, CHAMP Cargosystems.
Once we receive the completed documents and forward them to the vendor to connect with the necessary airline, you have completed the eAWB Registration and EDI application, our customer success team will contact you and provide a user guide.
