How to Apply for eSI with GoFreight?
What is eSI?
eSI (Electronic Shipping Instruction) is a digital version of the traditional shipping instruction (SI) form that is submitted to ocean carriers. Instead of manually sending documents, eSI allows you to transmit shipping instructions electronically through EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). This process improves efficiency, reduces errors, and speeds up booking confirmation and Bill of Lading issuance.
GoFreight offers add-on eSI submission services to our customers. The application information is provided below:
Pricing
The eSI service is billed per transaction.
For detailed pricing, please contact our team at support@gofreight.com.
Application Process
The application for eSI services typically takes approximately one month, depending on the approval timeline from our vendor and the ocean carriers involved.
If you accept the quote from the GoFreight Customer Success Team, please prepare the following documents for submission to support@gofreight.com.
Required Documents
- Complete the application form (see the attached "Hard Core Tech LOA Template V1" for download).
- Return the completed form to support@gofreight.com. The GoFreight Customer Success Team will then submit the application to our vendor and the necessary ocean carriers.
- Once the EDI application is completed and activated, the Customer Success Team will inform you and provide the user guide for eSI.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the GoFreight support team at support@gofreight.com for any eSI assistance.
