How to Generate a Balance Sheet in GoFreight?
The balance sheet provides a summary of a corporation's assets, liabilities, and stockholders' equity after an accounting period. For instance, a balance sheet dated December 31 summarizes the balances from the relevant general ledger accounts after all transactions have been recorded up to midnight on that date.
By default, only users with the roles of General Manager, Accounting Manager, and Accounting can generate a Balance Sheet in the GoFreight system.
Users in other roles can request this functionality with approval from an Admin or General Manager, after which a GoFreight support agent can grant access.
To generate a Balance Sheet in GoFreight, please follow the steps below:
- Navigate to “Accounting” > “Report” > “Balance Sheet” on the navigation bar.
- Select the desired as-of date and office, then click “Print.”
Note: There is a time range limitation. The starting date is fixed to the first day you use the GoFreight system, so you'll need to select the as-of-date accordingly. - The Balance Sheet will appear, displaying Asset items at the top, followed by Liabilities, and then Equity. - You can download the Balance Sheet as a PDF, or Excel file, or print it directly by clicking the respective buttons at the top of the preview page.
