How to Handle a Pre-Alert and Create a New Air Import Shipment
This guide outlines the steps to take after receiving a pre-alert from your overseas agent for an air import shipment and how to manage it effectively within GoFreight.
Step 1: Receive Pre-Alert from Overseas Agent
When your overseas agent sends you a pre-alert, it will include important documents such as:
- House Air Waybill (HAWB)
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
This signifies the beginning of the air import shipment process.
Step 2: Create a New Air Import Shipment
- Navigate to the Air Import Section:
Access the Air Import module in GoFreight. - Create New Shipment:
Click on New Shipment to initiate a new shipment file based on the information received from your overseas agent.

Step 3: Send Arrival Notice to Consignee
- Navigate to the Tools menu:
Once the shipment file is set up, go to the Tools section under the HAWB section. - Click on Arrival Notice:
Select Arrival Notice to send the notice to the consignee.
