How to Manage OBL Received in Ocean Import

Checking and Recording OBL (Original Bill of Lading) Received

Both the Master Bill of Lading (MBL) and House Bill of Lading (HBL) include an OBL Received box, where you can check and enter the date when the Original Bill of Lading (OBL) was received.

Steps to Mark OBL as Received:

Navigate to the Shipment Basic Tab.
Locate the OBL Received Box under both the MBL and HBL sections.
Check the Box for OBL Received. The system will automatically populate today’s date.
Modify the Date if Necessary. If the OBL was received on a different date, update the field accordingly.
Click Save to confirm the changes.
If you need to undo the selection, simply uncheck the box and save again.

Note: If you do not see the "OBL Received" checkbox:

For MBL, please check whether the OB/L Type is set to ORIGINAL BILL OF LADING.
For HBL, please ensure that Express B/L is set to No.

Viewing and Filtering OBL Received Shipments

You can list shipments with OBL Received using the MBL List and the HBL List.

Steps to Display OBL in the HBL List (House Bill of Lading List):

Go to the HBL List.
Click on CONFIG in the upper right corner.
Enable OBL Column:
- Check the OBL Received box in the configuration settings.
- Drag the column using the small hand icon to move it forward for better visibility.
Click Apply to save the changes.

Note: you can also use the CONFIG function in the MBL List to display the OBL in your list view.

Steps to Filter Shipments with OBL Received:

Click on FILTER in the HBL List.
Locate the Telex Release / OBL Received section.
Select "Yes" under OBL Received to filter shipments with OBL received.
Click Apply Filters to display relevant shipments.

Note: The MBL List currently does not support filtering shipments based on Telex Release or OBL Received status.
