How to Use Insert Templates for Data Entry
To streamline data entry, you can use templates for specific fields, minimizing the need for repetitive manual input. Please note that this function is disabled by default. If you would like to enable it for your account, feel free to contact support at support@gofreight.com.
Demonstration to Use Insert Templates for Data Entry:
- Navigate to the Container & Items Tab, for example
- Access the Container & Items tab, where you can apply templates to the HTS Code, Mark, and Description fields.
- Insert a Template for the HTS Code Field, for instance
- To insert a template for the HTS Code, click the Insert Template button next to the HTS Code field.
- Next, click the pencil icon to create a new template.
- Click the + or Add button to begin creating a new template.
- Provide a name for the template and enter the HTS code (for example, 4016.99.2000) in the text box on the right.
- Click Save to save your template.
- Apply the Template for the HTS Code
- After saving, you can easily apply the template by selecting the HTS code from the template dropdown menu.
- Insert a Template for the Mark and Description Fields
- You can also create templates for the Mark and Description fields in a similar manner.
- Click the Insert Template button next to the Mark or Description field, then click the pencil icon to create a new template.
- Click the + or Add button to create your new template, provide a name, and enter the relevant information (e.g., Mark Example for the Mark field).
- Click Save upon completion.
- Apply the Templates
- Once you have saved the templates, you can select them from the dropdown menus for the Mark and Description fields, just like with the HTS code.
Note: These templates cannot be shared with other users, so each user must create their own templates.
