How to Use Shipment Memos for Important Notes and Attachments
Introduction
The Shipment Memo feature enables users to add important notes and attach files to shipments in the MBL (Master Bill of Lading), HBL (House Bill of Lading), MAWB (Master Air Waybill), HAWB (House Air Waybill), and Truck shipment files. This functionality ensures critical shipment details are easily accessible and visible to all relevant team members.

The Shipment Memo feature is available in:
- MBL (Master Bill of Lading), HBL (House Bill of Lading), MAWB (Master Air Waybill), HAWB (House Air Waybill), and Truck shipment pages, specifically under the memo section.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Adding a Memo to a Shipment
- Navigate to the MBL (Master Bill of Lading), HBL (House Bill of Lading), MAWB (Master Air Waybill), HAWB (House Air Waybill), or Truck shipment page.
- Click the plus (+) button to create a new memo.
- Enter the memo details in the designated text field.
- (Optional) Check the bell icon checkbox to ensure the memo remains prominently visible.
- Click Save to apply the memo to the shipment.
2. Attaching Files to a Memo
- In the Shipment Memo section, click the Add Files button.
- Select the file(s) from your device.
- Click Upload to attach the selected files to the memo.
3. Using Memos for Team Communication
- If you check the memo bell icon in a shipment file, each time you visit this file, the Memo section will stay expanded, making it easier for users to view important information.
- If a shipment contains important notes, create a memo and check the bell icon to highlight it.
- If a team member is taking time off, they can use the memo section to leave clear instructions for their replacement.
