The Add To Favorite button allows you to save a customized version of your Volume & Profit Report, enabling a single-click generation of your preferred report version!
How to Use the Add To Favorite Button
1. Access the Volume & Profit Report: Hover over the slide-out menu on the left-hand side of GoFreight. Click on the Report tab, then select Volume & Profit Report.
2. Define Report Parameters: In the middle of the page, locate the View Report Options section. Here, you can define parameters such as shipping types, ship modes, output types, and more. Use this section to set the specifics of the report you wish to save as a favorite.
3. Add to Favorites: After filling in the desired View Report Options, click the Tools button in the upper-right corner of the page and select Add To Favorite.
4. Save Your Report: Clicking Add To Favorite opens a new window prompting you to enter a Title for your report, optionally provide a Description, and set a Report Period.
If you select Use Report’s Date Range, the report will run on the time period you specified in the Period section under View Report Option. For example, if you set the Period to 4/23/2025 to 4/29/2025 and save this Report to your Favorites, it will always run for that period whenever selected.
If you select Apply Dynamic Date Range, you will be prompted to choose from a dropdown menu for your date range.
A Dynamic Date Range is a shifting range that adjusts to match the timeframe selected. For instance, choosing "Today" as your date range ensures that the report always runs for the current date upon selection. Similarly, opting for “Last 7 Days” will pull data from the 7 days preceding the report run. This feature is ideal for maintaining up-to-date data based on your preferred date range.
Once you have set a Title, added a Description (if desired), and chosen a Report Period, click the Save button. Your saved report will then appear as an option under the Popular Report and My Favorite sections on the Volume & Profit Report page. Whenever you select this Report, your saved data will populate below.
