How to Use the Item List for Warehouse Operations
In this guide, you will learn how to effectively use the Item List to manage your warehouse receiving and shipping operations. The Item List provides a comprehensive overview of all items you have created, allowing for efficient management.
Purpose of the Item List
The Item List is designed to display all items related to your warehouse's receiving and shipping operations. This tool helps you keep track of each item and its specific details, simplifying inventory management, shipments, and receiving processes.
Location of the Item List
To access the Item List:
- Navigate to the [Warehouse] section.
- Select [Receiving & Shipping].
- Click on [Item List] from the left-side navigation bar.
Functions of the Item List
The Item List includes several useful functions to assist you in managing your items:
- View the List:
- The Item List displays all created items, showing details such as Customer, SKU No. (Stock Keeping Unit Number), Product Description, Created At, UPS/EAN, Package Type, Inner Packs, Weight, Measurements, and Status.
- Verify the Item Details:
- Click on the SKU No. hyperlink to view and modify the item’s details.
- Filter the List:
- Filter items by customer, creation date, and status, or by entering keywords such as SKU No., product description, or UPC/EAN in the search field.
- Export to Excel:
- To download the list for offline use, click the "Excel" button to export the data.
How to Create a New Item from the Item List
To add a new item to the list:
- Go to Warehouse > Receiving & Shipping > Item List
- Click the green plus (+) button to create a new item.
- In the Item Details page, complete the required fields (marked with a red asterisk), including Customer and SKU No. The Save button will become enabled once the SKU No. is entered.
- Fill in the remaining details as needed, such as Product Description, Package Type (PKG), and Weight.
- For example, if the item belongs to Customer Demo, and has SKU No. TS22489RU, is a Toy Train Set, packed in a Carton, weighs 50kg, has dimensions of 60x60x60cm, and contains 100 inner packs, input these details.
How to Create a New Item from the New Receiving Entry Page
To add a new item to the list:
- Go to Warehouse > Receiving & Shipping > New Receiving
- After selecting the Customer and Post Date, click the green plus (+) button to create a new item line.
- Click the blue plus (+) button in the SKU No. field to add a new item.
- In the Item Details page, complete the required fields (marked with a red asterisk), including Customer and SKU No. The Customer field will be automatically populated based on the selection you made on the New Receiving Entry page. The Save button will become enabled once the SKU No. is entered.
- Fill in the remaining details as needed, such as Product Description, Package Type (PKG), and Weight.
How to Disable an Item on the Item List in the Warehouse Module
If an item is no longer needed or has zero inventory, you can disable it:
- In the Item Details page, change the item's status to Disable.
- The item will then be updated with the Disabled status in the list.
By following these steps, you will effectively manage your warehouse items, ensuring smooth receiving and shipping operations.
