How to Load Warehouse Inventory Item to a House Bill of Lading?
Introduction
This guide will walk you through the steps to successfully load goods from your warehouse into a House Bill of Lading (HBL). This ensures your inventory information is correctly linked with your shipping documentation.
Steps to Load an Inventory Item to an HBL
1. Navigate to the HBL's "Container & Item" Tab
First, locate the HBL you wish to work with and click to open and navigate to the "Container & Item" tab.
2. Load Items from the Warehouse
Within the "Container & Item" tab, you'll find a blue button labeled "Load from Warehouse" in the Container List section. Click this button.
3. Select the Items to Load
After clicking "Load from Warehouse," a new window will pop up, displaying your available warehouse inventory. You have two ways to select the items you want to load:
- Select Specific Items: If you only need to load certain goods, simply click the "W/H Receipt No." (Warehouse Receipt Number) corresponding to that item to select it.
- Select All Items: If you need to load all items from a particular warehouse receipt, you can check the checkbox right next to the W/H Receipt No. to select everything.
Once you've made your selections, click the "OK" button.
4. Confirm Item Information is Linked
Upon returning to the HBL's "Container & Item" tab, you'll see that the items you just selected have been successfully loaded. You'll notice that the PKG (packages), weight, and measurement details for these items are now automatically linked and displayed.
5. Verify the Link Between the Warehouse Receipt and HBL
Finally, go back to your original Warehouse Receipt Entry page. You'll observe that the items on this receipt now show the associated B/L No. (Bill of Lading Number), indicating they are successfully linked to the HBL you just updated. You can click this link at any time to review the relevant HBL information.
